It took a while to finish. This was the second instance where i really focused on the sound design. Finding new sounds and different ways to use them really open new avenues, but also created many impossibilities when trying to finish before a deadline. As stated, "Best watched with Headphone!" the statement does not lie. With the help of many and with the support of the fans this was initially planned to become a 4-5 part series.
We'll see how the crowd likes it...
This short was scrapped. Due to time and limited resources (meaning a cast and crew) and a dying game it became difficult to land the vision i had for this video.
Watching movies like Fast and the Furious, seeing high performance vehicles tear the tarmac up, whilst being chased by the cops, always brought some warmth to my heart. Yes, warmth. I should say how it gets my blood pumping and how my adrenal glands are working like their on crack, but it would be a lie. It was always comforting to see speed and to watch one in on the edge of control, knowing that death could be at any instant. It was psychologically thrilling. So creating my own version of those films was only certain to happen.
This bad boy was made in between the production of another flick. With only a few friends and one week, right after the release of DICE's release of their latest downloadable content; this skyrocketed. Posted on the main page and server sites for battlefield this made good note of how a high speed motorcycle video was made! Obviously inspired by Ken Block's Gymkhana videos this was is a personal trophy!
It wasn't easy finishing this one. Went through a time we all call Writer's or Creator's Block. And as that plague persisted, this project became an annoyance. Tired of looking at the timeline, wondering when i'm going to have the courage and put down the time to finish it. Though, in the end my colleges gave me a hand and with a dab of motivation the video was finished.
